Federal-Mogul offers a range of silicone elastomer tapes, which self-amalgamate at ambient temperature.
The elongation for 66N and 67N ranges from 300% up to 500%. Composed of an additional fiberglass base coated with a self-amalgamating silicone elastomer, the tapes 68N, 69N, 78N and 79N provide high temperature mechanical protection. After several hours at ambient temperature, the surface of these tapes sticks together when light pressure is added. These products can also be used to provide local protection to connection accessories and other wire harness components.
